Current Favourite Face Mists
I hate to say it, but I have a PROBLEM when it comes to face mists. And when I say that, I don’t mean that I hate them, I mean that I love them too much. Maybe it’s because I have dry skin and I love the nourishing, hydrating feeling I get when I apply them but wow.
Face mists serve good purpose: they set your makeup and can also work as a prep for your makeup, they’re hydrating, they soothe your skin, they refresh you and more. I obviously haven’t tried every face mist out there but here are my faves from the ones I HAVE tried.
Shiseido Ibuki Quick Fix Mist: I love love love this one. The smell is amazing and it just feels so rich on your face. It also feels more like a gel consistency. I only used one bottle of this I was sent to me, but definitely want to buy more. I’ve stalled because I like much more affordable options that you’ll see below but if you don’t mind spending the money, this one is definitely awesome.
GlamGlow GLOWSETTER Makeup Setting Spray: this one is a makeup setting spray and I just am obsessed with the scent to be completely honest. I am not crazy about the spritzer on this specific bottle but the scent is the exact same as the other GlamGlow moisturizers and it is maybe my favourite scent on the planet. Therefore, this one makes it into my top favourites list.
Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Chamomile and Lavender: this is the one I am currently reaching for everyday (the other two types from this brand are equally as amazing but I like to switch it up [rose water and aloe/cucumber are the other two types]). Mario Badescu is insanely affordable compared to other brands and that’s why I tend to opt for these facial sprays every time. This Lavender one might be my favourite of the three scents; it’s so fresh and soothing and has an amazing scent that lasts.
Tarte 4-in-1 Setting Mist Rainforest of the Sea Collection: this one did wonders for my skin and it smells like ocean water! I used this constantly (along with the rest of the Rainforest of the Sea Collection) and I felt like I was a beach girl on a tropical island. My skin was so fresh and dewy and the scent just made me feel like I was always on vacation. This one is super hydrating.
MAC Prep + Prime Fix+: this spray is solely for setting the face and I’ve always stuck by it. I also use it to dampen my beauty blender when I am too lazy to walk over to the bathroom sink (super guilty) and to dampen my eyeshadow brushes before applying a pigment or to intensify the shadows. It’s never done me wrong.
